Trump’s Daughter Turns Down the View

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

We recently reported that ABC was considering a gay co-host on the all-female talk show, The View. Among the names that have been thrown around are Mario Cantone of Sex and the City and Ross Matthews from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In related developments, there are now reports that the latest addition to the list of celebrities being considered is Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter.

The possibility of having Trump on the show is an fascinating, if not ironic, twist in light of the recent much-publicized feud between her father and former View co-host, Rosie O’Donnell. But, Ivanka Trump quickly dismissed the notion, flat-out saying “There’s zero chance I would do that.”

“I’m working on the sexiest projects around the world, so, to me, to be on a television show every single day… just wouldn’t work in terms of my schedule,” the heiress continued in her conversation with Ryan Seacrest on his Los Angeles radio show last Tuesday.

In a different interview, Trump told Entertainment Tonight “I have no interest in being on ‘The View. At the end of the day, I’m not a television personality and I’m not willing to give up that amount of time towards a daily show.”

Ivanka Trump does, indeed, have a whole lot on her plate, with more than 70 projects in development, including the new season of her father’s reality job opportunity show, The Apprentice. The statuesque 25-year ancient is also vice president of Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at the Trump Organization.

Although she has turned down the chance to be a regular on The View, Ivanka Trump has not completely rejected the possibility of appearing on the show due to the Donald-Rosie debacle. “I’ve been on The View several times before Rosie was there and I reckon I’d be pleased to go on it again now that she’s not,” she said.

As Donald Trump needs no formal introduction, most of what you’re going to read here is going to be dealing with his latest venture (as of 2009), “The Trump Network.”

What is the Trump Network?

The Trump Network is a Network Marketing company that sells nutritional products, which are personalized to the consumer through metabolic testing.  The brand is built around the success of Donald Trump, and as of right now, it is getting quite a lot of ‘buzz’ online.  Hoards of distributors are packing their bags on other fantastic opportunities to flock in to the Trump Wagon.  Together with 12,000 other pre-launches that came out in 2009, this has proven to be ‘the year of the hype wagon’.  I wonder if the Mayans, or Nostradamus knew this would happen.

What Does The Trump Network Sell?

Donald Trump has worked together with a team of well known nutritional scientists to make a new brand of personalized nutrition, weight loss, and mood enhancing formulas.  The thought is that with the rise of the highly obese, unhealthy, rich baby boomers, that zillions of otherwise non-health conscious people will flock around this new brand of products, all while holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya’.

(I was thinking about bringing my bong to the international convention)…  Baby boomers like weed, too.

Now there’s a company I want to make.  ‘The Weed Network’.  If Obama would legalize pot, then all you’d have to do to get rich is walk outside of any high school, find the kids that hang out by the overpass, and say ‘hey man, if you just find five people who find five people who want to get stoned – you’re going to be one rich dude!’

I guarantee no one would even question if it was a pyramid scheme – they’d be too busy laughing and skipping school and saying ‘this is SOOOO cool man…’

Of course, I’m kidding – but only a small.  You see, ever since the advent of the internet, about every 3 months the ‘latest and greatest MLM’ comes out and masses of frustrated Network Marketers flock to join ‘before it’s saturated’.  The hope is that The Trump Network, unlike their company that they’re in now, will somehow magically work for them when nothing in the past has.

Why the Trump Network will NEVER make you rich:

I’m going to have about 100 people complain to me about this the second it’s released.  I’m going to get comments like ‘The Trump Network is awesome, blah blah blah, you’re just jealous.’

I don’t want you to misunderstand me – The Trump Network is a excellent company, and a fine one to join.  In fact, out of the 3 zillion pre-launches of 2009, they probably have about as excellent of a chance to succeed as any other – and they have a decent product thought, too –

What I’m saying is simple.  I don’t know if you get this – but the people who make all the cash when a company is launching are the leaders who have built huge organizations before.  They’re people who have gigantic databases of distributors from PAST SUCCESS that they built the hard way.  Don’t you realize that all of these ‘Gurus’ simply take their list to a company when it first starts and send out a simple email like this one:

‘I’m awesome.  As you know, I’ve made 40 trillion dollars in the last 30 years helping struggling people make money.  Being as awesome as I am, I obviously know way better than the average person how to spot an opportunity of a lifetime.  I just joined XYZ company because more people are going to get rich from this than got rich from Microsoft.  If you join me right now, you’ll be rich, too – but only if you act in the next 24 hours.  You see, because I’m so highly regarded, and as I said, awesome – I can only work with people who aren’t idiots like most people and know how to spot a excellent opportunity when they see one.  Don’t call me unless you’re credit card is in your hand.’

Signed,

Mr. Rich and Well-known Trillionaire1-800-Join-Now

Then, in a buzzing frenzy, hoards of people abandon years of hard work and relationships because they get caught up in ‘the newest and greatest thing’……Six months later when they’re still not rich – they bust out their credit card again and make Mr. Trillionaire even richer in a ‘newer, better prelaunch – just like The Trump Network, but better’.

So am I saying that you shouldn’t join the Trump Network?

No, not at all.  What I’m saying is – know that building The Trump Network is not going to be any simpler than building a business in a 5, or 10 year ancient company, and unless you’ve either got a database of 20,000 people who like and respect you (or you learn how to build one and get to work), you’re not going to make any more money from The Trump Network than what you can do by sticking to ONE COMPANY.

Did you know that according to Dr. Charles King, based on more than 15 years of academic research into the world of Network Marketing PROVES that out of the people who stay actively involved in ONE COMPANY for 10 years or more reach the top of the comp plot and earn six figures a year?

The problem is, we get so hyped up into the ‘newest, most awesome deal’ that we abandon all that we’ve worked so hard to build.  Network Marketing is a PROFESSION and it needs to be treated professionally to produce six and seven figure results.

Look, I’m not bashing on The Trump Network, or any other MLM leader out there.  What I’m saying is simple – if you want to get rich in MLM, focus more attention on learning how to market your business professionally than you do looking for the newest deal to solve your problems.

Quite frankly, learning how to build quality business relationships that can last through company failures, people quitting, earthquakes, wars, and depressions is a more valuable skill in the Network Marketing industry than learning how to spot the newest, greatest deal.

Now in it’s third season, Donald Trump’s killer television series “The Apprentice” is officially a “franchise.” With new seasons in the making, a clothing line that carries “The Apprentice” brand, DVD’s in production, and mega-fortunes to be made, it’s no surprise that the king of real estate… a man who knows a excellent thing when he sees it… is involved. I like Donald Trump a lot. Mostly because I learn something new from him every time I watch him in action. One of the barbs critics aim at Donald Trump is that he’s a shameless egomaniac who can’t get enough of the spotlight. Well, they may call it egomania, but from my perspective… it’s a brilliant business strategy. I’ll admit it: I’m a marketer. My job is to make people sit up and take notice of my clients (and their products or services), and to deliver a “brand” message at every opportunity. That’s exactly what “The Donald” does. If that makes me him an egocentric, self-congratulatory target for media pundits, who cares? Because it also makes him a “household name”…in households from Bangor, Maine to Bangkok Thailand. Brand recognition is the foundation of every marketing strategy. If you’re a small business owner, YOU are your brand. That means you must sell yourself as well as your product or service. Trump understands the concept, and what’s why you see his brand Trump on everything. You’ve got to be willing to get name out there… Willing to say, “Hey look me!”… Ready to stand up for yourself, believe in yourself, and blow your own horn… Loudly and as often as possible. Have you noticed that each episode of “The Apprentice” includes a segment devoted to a current Trump project? This as an opportunity for “The Donald” to billboard a success tale.

Week after week, he tells millions of people, “I’m a fantastic real estate giant and here’s the proof.” Take a tip from “The Donald”… You’ve got to be your own full-time marketing campaign 24 hours a day… because nobody else will! Especially if you’re an entrepreneur. When you’re the own of a business, especially a new business, it’s kind of like being a parent. Before your business can “talk”… before your “small one” has grown and established a reputation that literally “speaks for itself”… you need to be the “spokesperson.” How long will this last? You may not want to hear this, but the answer is — forever. You must always be ready to carry the banner for your business and your success. So, before you give Donald Trump “two thumbs done” for shameless self-promotion, consider how his ego… and his knack for savvy marketing… is a real asset to his business empire. If it’s excellent enough for “The Donald,” it’s excellent enough for me… and YOU, too. The next time you sit down for the next episode of the “Book Smarts vs. Street Smarts” season of “The Apprentice,” open your mind. Instead of picking at the negative traits of “The Donald” or his “top guns” Carolyn and George, reckon about their success and question yourself… What can I learn from this guy? How does he marketing himself? How can I adapt this concept to me and my business? The truth is, if you can’t get at least a handful of “golden nuggets” from this super-successful entrepreneur, you may be hopeless. What I’d like to do is share some of the key marketing insights I’ve learned from Donald Trump and “The Apprentice” that you, too, can use in your business. Before we get to the marketing insights, but, there’s a larger business concept that you need to know.
